Recently, the owner of CP Lotus and Super Brand Mall announced the launch of its first upmarket food retail1 brand, Bazaar2 by Lotus, in Shanghai's Xintiandi, the fashion hub and one of the most famous locations in the city.

日前，卜蜂蓮花和正大廣場宣布在上海新天地創(chuàng)立首個(gè)高端食品零售品牌Bazaar by Lotus（蓮花集市）。新天地是上海的時(shí)髦中心，也是上海最著名的景點(diǎn)之一。

在上面的報(bào)道中，upmarket food指的就是高端食品，upmarket的意思是高端的；高級(jí)的，也可以用high-end來代替，比如：an upmarket/high-end shop（高端品商店）。與它們相對(duì)的就是down-market和low-end，均表示低端的。大家將目光轉(zhuǎn)投高端食品，和接二連三發(fā)生的food safety scandals（食品安全丑聞）不無關(guān)系。

在這類high-end supermarket（高檔超市）里面，沒intrusive sales（強(qiáng)行銷售），而且可以買到international gourmet3 foods（各國美食）。但里面產(chǎn)品的價(jià)格都非常貴，一部分是由于零售店地處prime locations（黃金地段）需要支付高額租金。
